Vinted Members Voice Displeasure Regarding Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has revised its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes without notifying every member regarding the update.
Online Platforms Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online claiming that product pages now present a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The company said the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to examine their items and update the measurements by hand if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Measurement Approach Modifications
Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she said.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, located in England, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizing for "all her products".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: earlier, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options following member complaints.
