Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering near a well-attended coastal beach suddenly commenced twirling out of control, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Footage uploaded online capture the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then falling in the direction of the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters said five people were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
